Summer Members!

About Our Summer Service Terms

The Summer Program provides hands-on opportunities for its members to explore community engagement, conservation efforts, education outreach, and much more. During this three-month program, members are given the opportunity to pursue a professional development project catered to their specific career interest.

Summer members can work for any of the three branches at any of the twenty-four locations

Summer Member Roles

Our Summer Member roles vary widely between host sites and branches. Because each Green Iowa branch is incredibly broad and interwoven, our members work intuitively with our host sites to craft projects and events that mutually benefit each partner, and align with GIA's mission.

Summer Members can serve the community through organizing education events and outreach projects, providing energy audits, work with Good Neighbor Iowa and Garden in Every Lot, and more.
